Appearance
Thyme plant has a shrub structure, straight woody or herbaceous stems, and branches that reach a height of 10 to 30 cm and in some species up to 40 cm. This fragrant plant's leaves are almost evergreen, almost without petioles or very short petioles. Thyme leaves are oval and very small. The taste of the leaves is sharp. The flowers of this plant are usually light purple or white in the form of tubular, double-edged, resinous, and very small.

Thyme honey is produced from many species of thyme (Thymus spp.). Of the approximately 350 different species, the most notable species for honey production are wild thyme (T. capitatus), garden thyme (T. vularis), and mother thyme (T. serpyllum).
